Getting started
Create an account and confirm you can sign in
Open the VPNGJ user dashboard and enter a username and password on the account setup page. No email address is required. Choose login details you can store securely, and save them in your password manager. Use the main VPNGJ site to read about the service and browse guides; manage your account, orders, client downloads, and subscription in the separate user dashboard.
After submitting your account details, follow the prompts to sign in and confirm you can access the account overview. If you are already signed in to another account in your browser, check the username before continuing to avoid assigning a plan to the wrong account. If a username is unavailable, follow the page’s guidance and choose another. If you don’t reach the dashboard after submitting, check the error message near the input fields instead of resubmitting the same details.
You should now be able to access the user dashboard and find the account overview, plan, and client download sections. Creating an account does not provide an active subscription or connect your client. Next, choose a plan that suits your usage, then get your subscription details. Use the same account when setting up other devices; you don’t need a separate account for each one.
Start FreePlans and orders
Choose a plan and confirm payment
Open the plans section in the user dashboard and compare monthly subscriptions with data packages. Monthly plans suit ongoing use: ¥9.9/month includes 60GB, ¥18/month includes 250GB, and ¥28/month includes 500GB. Data resets monthly on the day you activate the plan, not on a fixed calendar date. Consider your usual video, file transfer, and other app usage rather than choosing based only on the number of devices. VPNGJ allows unlimited simultaneous devices.
Data packages suit occasional use or flexible, pay-as-you-go consumption: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They expire only when the data is used up and never expire based on time. Unlike monthly subscriptions, they have a different billing and data management model; don’t expect the same data allowance to renew each month. Compare plans on the plan pricing page. For help estimating usage, sharing with family, and choosing servers, see the buying guide.
After choosing a plan, review its name, price, and billing method on the order confirmation page. Then select Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT as prompted by the dashboard. When payment is complete, return to the user dashboard and check that the order and plan status have updated. Payment confirmation and the dashboard’s record of payment are separate steps. If the plan hasn’t appeared yet, refresh the dashboard and check the order status before taking further action, to avoid creating duplicate orders.
This service offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for how to apply and what to expect. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; don’t calculate the expiry date as if a new full billing period had started. You should now see the selected plan and related data in the account overview. If the status is unclear, check the order in the dashboard before continuing.

Get your personal subscription in the dashboard
After confirming your plan status, open the account overview in the user dashboard and find the subscription section. Depending on the interface, you can copy your subscription link or use the dashboard’s client import option. The subscription link lets your client retrieve server settings; it is not the URL for signing in to the dashboard or for visiting a webpage. If your client asks for a URL, paste the full subscription link from the dashboard, not the account overview URL in your browser’s address bar.
Once copied, you can paste the link directly into your client; there’s no need to send it through a chat app. Your subscription link is private account information. Hide it and any other account details when sharing screenshots, submitting a support ticket, or asking someone for help. This guide does not provide real subscription URLs; don’t use examples found online in place of your own link. If you’ve shared your link publicly, check whether the dashboard lets you reset it. If you’re unsure, ask support through a ticket.
When using the dashboard’s import option on the same device, your browser may ask whether to open the relevant client. Make sure the client is installed and check which app is about to open. If the browser doesn’t launch it, copy the subscription link and import it manually in the client; a blocked handoff doesn’t necessarily mean the subscription is invalid. When copying manually, check for leading or trailing spaces, line breaks, and missing characters. Use the dashboard’s copy button rather than selecting the text by dragging.
You’re ready to move on when you have your personal subscription link or have successfully sent the configuration to an installed client. If you haven’t installed a client yet, leave the dashboard open and go to the download section. After importing the subscription, refresh the server list, choose a server, and connect. Copying a link alone does not change how your device accesses the network.
Get subscriptionSet up by platform
Get the client and import your subscription
On the client download page in the user dashboard, choose the platform you’re using and follow the instructions for the VPNGJ client provided there. You can download on Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux after signing in, without purchasing a plan; the iOS download requires an active plan. Keep client downloads and subscription access separate: installing the app prepares the tool, but connecting still requires an active subscription on your account.
The steps below focus on clients that support importing a subscription URL. If the dashboard provides a dedicated import button, follow its instructions first. If the client asks you to choose a configuration format, use the guidance on the download page rather than guessing based on a filename or another guide. Menu labels may vary, but look for the “subscription” or “configuration” section and add your own subscription so the client can retrieve it.
Windows: Import from the subscription or configuration menu
Sign in to the download page, get the Windows client, and install and launch it. Open the “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or similar management page, then look for “Add,” “Import,” or “Import from URL.” Paste the subscription link you copied from the account overview into the URL field. If there’s a name field, enter a label that’s easy to recognize; it identifies the configuration on your device but can’t replace the subscription URL. Save, refresh, and check that the server list appears.
If the import button opens a local file picker, that option may be for importing files. Go back and look for a URL or remote configuration option. Once the server list appears, enable the connection or system proxy as described by the client. If you choose a network mode that needs additional permissions, follow the app’s prompts. Don’t change multiple mode settings at once; start with the default recommended option, then consider other settings if needed.
macOS: Check the app launch and configuration source
Get the macOS client from the dashboard download page, follow the installation instructions, and launch it. If macOS shows a security prompt the first time you open it, confirm the app came from the current dashboard download page, then follow the system instructions. In the client’s configuration settings, add the remote subscription URL. Alternatively, use the dashboard’s import option and allow the browser to open the installed client when prompted.
Refresh the subscription manually after importing, then confirm the configuration is selected and servers are visible. The macOS menu bar icon may indicate that the app is running, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the network connection is active; check the connection switch in the main window. If macOS asks to allow a network configuration, verify that the request comes from the app you just opened before granting permission. Then follow the connection testing steps below; there’s no need to change complex routing rules first.
Android: Check the configuration and system permission after importing
Sign in to the dashboard download page, get the Android client, and install it following the download page and system prompts. In the app, open the subscription or configuration page, add the URL, paste your personal subscription link, and save. If the dashboard offers direct import, install the client first, then return to the dashboard and use that option. In the app chooser, select the client you just installed that matches the dashboard instructions.
Refresh the subscription and select a configuration before connecting. Android may display a VPN connection request; this is a system permission prompt to establish a network connection. Check the app name before confirming. Once connected for the first time, switch to the app you want to use and test it. If the connection drops only when switching apps or locking the screen, check the client’s background activity restrictions. Don’t change several battery and network settings before confirming the connection works.
iOS: Access the download with an active plan and allow configuration
On your iOS device, sign in to the user dashboard and confirm your plan is active before going to the client download page to access the iOS download. Install the client as instructed by the dashboard, then return to the account overview to copy your subscription or use the dashboard’s import option. If the download page says your plan isn’t eligible, check the signed-in account and plan status instead of looking for an installation link elsewhere.
Open the client and go to its subscription, configuration, or add-configuration page. Choose URL import and paste the full link. After the subscription updates, select a configuration and a server, then connect. The system may ask permission to add a VPN configuration. Confirm that the request comes from the client you just opened, then follow the system prompts. Permission allows the app to connect; you still need to verify the connection in the client and the app you want to use.
Linux and other setup needs
Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard download section and follow the included instructions to install it and import a subscription. For router setup, command-line use, or rule changes, first read the technical and device selection notes in the buying guide, then check compatibility with the configuration details available in the dashboard. Supported platforms do not mean every router or client will work out of the box. Don’t reuse configuration files from other devices without checking compatibility.
Get the clientVerify the connection
Choose a server and test cross-border access
After refreshing the subscription, choose a server in the region required by the service you want to use, then turn on the connection. VPNGJ covers 90+ countries / 170+ servers. See the servers page for available regions, but availability does not guarantee that a particular app will work in every location. For initial setup, keep the default recommended mode and confirm basic access before changing rules. This helps distinguish configuration issues from the target service’s regional requirements.
First check whether the client shows as connected and whether the configuration you just imported is selected. Then open the website or app you want to use. Test a specific page you previously couldn’t access rather than relying only on the app icon, connection duration, or the system VPN indicator. The system indicator shows that a connection tunnel has been established; loading the target page, signing in, and accessing content are separate steps. Check both.
If the client says it’s connected but the app still won’t open, first confirm that the subscription has been refreshed and the plan is active. Check whether the current rule mode routes the app’s traffic through the connection. Then try another server that meets the target region’s requirements, changing as little else as possible. AI tools such as ChatGPT and streaming platforms may also assess account region, exit region, and their own policies. A working network connection doesn’t guarantee that an account meets a platform’s requirements.
If importing fails, return to the dashboard and copy the subscription link again. Check that you pasted it into the URL field and that the client matches the configuration instructions. If the server list loads but all connections fail, check whether the system allows the client to create a network configuration and whether another app is also changing the proxy or network route. Change one thing at a time and note what happens before and after each change. This helps identify whether the issue is with importing, connecting, or the target service.
Once setup is complete, repeat the “get the client—import the subscription—test the connection” steps on other devices. VPNGJ supports unlimited devices, but system permissions and network conditions may differ on each one. When updating your server list or reinstalling a client, get the current subscription details from the dashboard instead of relying on old settings with an unknown source.
If you’re still having trouble, submit a ticket in the user dashboard with your device platform, the client’s error message, where the issue occurred, and what happened after trying another server. Hide your subscription link, password, and other account details in screenshots. For more on server types, billing options, and usage guidelines, see the buying guide. For personal assistance, check the support information or continue through the ticket page.
